Job Summary:
The DBA in Project Management is a strategic individual who uses advanced management techniques and specialized tools to manage, oversee, and execute projects of all sizes. This individual is responsible for leading project teams, managing resources, schedules, and costs, identifying and mitigating project risks, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost, and to quality.
Main Responsibilities:
• Design, plan and manage strategic projects according to the organization's objectives
• Manage and monitor various project processes including schedule, resources, cost and quality
• Identify and assess project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Develop and implement project management plans and control them using appropriate tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera)
• Collaborate with various organizational teams to ensure proper coordination and execution of the project
• Manage communications with project stakeholders and report to senior managers and the board of directors
• Manage project human resources, including assigning tasks, evaluating performance and resolving issues
• Create and maintain project documentation including progress reports, analyses and project results
• Evaluate project progress and its compliance with set goals, taking corrective actions if necessary
• Implement continuous improvement processes in projects and use best management practices
Skills and Abilities:
• Mastery of project management concepts and principles (such as PMBOK, PRINCE2)
• Ability to plan, schedule, and allocate resources optimally
• Skill in identifying and managing project risks
• Familiarity with project management software (MS Project, Primavera, Asana)
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and interact effectively with various stakeholders
• Decision-making power in complex and changing project conditions
• Skill in preparing and managing project budgets
• Familiarity with the principles of project evaluation and quality control
• Skill in evaluating and reporting project progress
• Ability to create and manage project documentation and analyze relevant data
Required Education:
• DBA with a Project Management focus
• Master's degree in Project Management, MBA, Industrial Engineering or similar
• Professional certifications in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma)
