Job Summary:
A DBA in Industrial Management is a high-level professional who helps improve performance and productivity in organizations and industries by utilizing advanced techniques in the fields of process management, resource optimization, production, quality, and supply chain. He or she is responsible for overseeing industrial projects, analyzing performance, and implementing macro strategies in manufacturing and service organizations.
Main Responsibilities:
• Design and implement production and operations strategies in industrial organizations
• Analyze and optimize production processes to increase productivity and reduce costs
• Manage and monitor production, raw material supply, and inventory control
• Improve quality control systems and ensure compliance with international standards
• Plan production resources and manage the supply chain to prevent production interruptions
• Lead cost reduction, process improvement, and production system upgrade projects
• Manage executive and technical teams to ensure optimal performance in production lines
• Use modern technologies such as ERP systems and simulation software for operations management
• Design and implement decision-making models to improve organizational performance
• Evaluate and simulate industrial systems and provide innovative solutions in production and service processes.
Skills and capabilities:
• Mastery of the principles of production management, process optimization, and quantitative analysis
• Familiarity with advanced tools in operations management (e.g. Lean Management, Six Sigma, TPM)
• Ability to analyze data and model industrial processes
• Skill in planning and supply chain management (SCM)
• Ability to make strategic decisions based on economic and market analysis
• Mastery of enterprise resource management (ERP) systems and analytical software (e.g. MATLAB, Arena)
• Skill in managing cross-functional teams and continuous improvement projects
• Ability to manage and mitigate industrial and commercial risks
Required Education:
• DBA with a concentration in Industrial Management
• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Executive Management, Production Engineering or similar
• Advanced courses in Production Management, Supply Chain or Quality Engineering (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, PMP)
