Job Summary:
A DBA in Hospitality Management is a high-level professional who uses advanced management knowledge, business data analysis, marketing strategies, human resources, and information technology to help improve hotel performance, develop brands, and increase productivity in the tourism industry.
Main Responsibilities:
• Design and implement macro-management strategies to improve the level of hotel services
• Analyze financial and operational data to optimize costs and increase revenue
• Oversee human resource management, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance
• Develop marketing, digital marketing, and branding policies to attract more customers
• Use information technology and intelligent systems to improve hotel processes
• Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction
• Provide expert advice to the board of directors, shareholders, or investors
• Analyze the market and competitors to identify growth opportunities
• Implement research projects to innovate in hotel business models
• Manage crises and improve organizational risks in tourism environments
Skills and Abilities:
• Mastery of advanced concepts of strategic, financial and human resource management
• Familiarity with management information systems (MIS) and databases in hospitality
• Skill in data analysis and data-driven decision-making
• Ability to lead multi-sector and international teams
• Thorough knowledge of the tourism industry, consumer behavior and customer experience management
• Fluency in English (and preferably other languages) for international environments
• Ability to write scientific articles and market analyses
Required Education:
• DBA with a concentration in hospitality or tourism management
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a management, hospitality, tourism or business discipline
