ICDL Level 1 Skills Course

What is ICDL?

ICDL stands for International Computer Driving License, meaning an international computer driving license.

Given the expansion of computer use and its wide application in various fields, it is important to have the skills to use it.

ICDL training is a training program that has been led by the European Foundation since 1997. In general, the ICDL certificate is known as an international information and communication technology certificate. The ICDL certificate is recognized by government organizations and bodies, IT associations, commercial companies and various large and small businesses as a document proving computer skills. You have probably seen various job advertisements in which one of the skills required by applicants is ICDL skills and having a certificate of the seven ICDL skills. Currently, ICDL skills have become a standard certificate that is used in different countries and its curriculum is similar to ECDL courses. ECDL is the same as ICDL, except that it is known by this name in Europe.

To obtain the ICDL certificate, various training courses are held in countries. These courses usually teach applicants various computer skills during 130 hours of ICDL training.

What is an ICDL certificate?

Those interested in the field of information technology and applicants for learning ICDL, after learning various ICDL training skills, take an exam and can obtain their ICDL certificate.

The ICDL certificate is determined by a score and indicates the certificate holder's skills in using various computer tools. These people can participate in the ICDL training course, in addition to learning various skills, also obtain the ICDL certificate and use it for various purposes.

Introduction to Basic Concepts of Information Technology (IT): Basic concepts of information technology and familiarity with hardware and software

Introduction to how to use a computer and manage files (Windows): Familiarity with a computer and how to manage files

Learning and teaching Word software: How to use Word typing and letter writing software

Learning and teaching Excel software: How to use Excel spreadsheet software

Learning and teaching Access software: How to use Access database software

Learning and teaching PowerPoint software: How to use PowerPoint presentation software

Information and communication (Internet): Familiarity with basic concepts of the Internet and working with Internet networks

ICDL 1 & 2 concepts

ICDL concepts are divided into two parts 1 and 2.

Basic concepts of information and communication technology

Using a computer and managing files - Windows 10 operating system

Word 2016 word processing software

Web browsing and Internet communications

The ICDL2 course includes the following training:

How to work with a spreadsheet (Excel)

How to use database software (Access)

How to work with presentation software (PowerPoint)

European Computer Driving License:

(ECDL) is an international computer skills certificate that is distributed in 60 countries. For countries outside Europe, this certificate is called the International Computer Driving License (ICDL).
