The Barista Exam is one of the most important exams on the path to a professional entry into the world of cafes.

Job duties of a professional barista:
Preparing drinks

Cleaning and hygiene at work
Washing tools, observing personal hygiene and the work environment
Interacting with customers
Advising on choosing drinks, taking orders carefully and being friendly
Basic knowledge of coffee science
Knowing coffee types, brewing methods, grinding level, appropriate temperature, etc.
Speed and accuracy in service

Barista exam content (theoretical + practical):
1. Theoretical part (theory):
• Introduction to the history of coffee, processing of beans and the differences between varieties
• Understanding barista equipment
• Principles of grinding and extracting coffee
• Environmental health and work safety
• Principles of dealing with customers
2. Practical part:
• Preparing espresso with correct timing and extraction
• Preparing basic drinks (latte, cappuccino, Americano, etc.)
• Steaming and frothing milk
• Performing basic latte art
